- Stacking ring is a non-printable area
which is: 32 mm - 36 mm. ARTWORK MUST NOT PRINT INSIDE.
- Inner ring 20 mm is also a non-printable
area.
COLOR
SEPARATIONS AND SCREEN ANGLES:
- Make
sure all linked images are in the correct image mode. Images should
be converted to CMYK = Four -Color Process or, Specified Spot Color
= PMS, PANTONE NUMBER. (specify PMS number)
- SCREEN
ANGLE 0 DEGREES>all colors, Spot or Process. It is important to
specify this to a service bureau, if you plan on providing film.
ARTWORK
WITH HALFTONE SCREEN, TINTS AND VIGNETTE GUIDELINES:
- The
dot density of screen tints and vignettes should be limited to between
20% and 80% and should utilize an elliptical dot.
WHITE
BACKGROUND DONUT:
- White
background is used as a base, usually with a four- color process,
in which it helps with color to appear more vivid and opaque verses
being printed on a silver CD disc. A WHITE BACKGROUND DONUT IS A CUSTOMER
PREFERENCE.
- If
you require a white background to be printed as a base for your artwork,
you must create a separate background donut, along with your file.
Note: background donut must be the same dimensions as original CD
artwork.
THIS
WILL REQUIRE AN ADDITIONAL PIECE OF FILM.
To
do this, use original dimensions of CD and create a black fill, with
stacking ring dimensions

Proof
IF
YOU REQUIRE A WHITE BACKGROUND TO BE PRINTED AS A BASE FOR YOUR ARTWORK.
YOU MUST CREATE A SEPARATE BACKGROUND DONUT, ALONG WITH YOUR ORIGINAL
FILE. THIS WILL REQUIRE AN ADDITIONAL PIECE OF FILM, AND MUST BE SPECIFIED.
PROOFS
ARE NEEDED ALONG WITH FILM:
- All
four color process (CMYK) jobs will need an overlay proof or Matchprint,
additional cost of the proof and film to make the proof is the sole
responsibility of the customer.
- Spot
colored jobs will need a fiery (color laser proof) or 3M Rainbow proof.
MAKE
SURE CD ARTWORK IS CENTERED AND WITHIN CD ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS (REFER
TO FIRST PAGE). ARTWORK THAT EXCEEDS NON-PRINTABLE AREA, AND THAT DOES
NOT MEET SOFTWARE DUPLICATION SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE REJECTED
FILM AND RETURNED TO CUSTOMER FOR MODIFICATION AND RE-OUTPUT OF FILM,
THIS MAY DELAY JOB FOR FINAL SHIPMENT. ALL ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR MODIFICATION
AND RE-OUTPUT OF FILM WILL BE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY.
FAILURE
TO COMPLY WITH CD ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS WILL REQUIRE A SIGNED WAIVER
FORM FROM THE CUSTOMER BEFORE SOFTWARE DUPLICATION SERVICE CAN PROCEED
